Governor Bii Flags Off Medical Supplies Worth Ksh 28 Million Ahead of Festive Season
Governor Jonathan Bii today flagged off the first batch of medical supplies worth Ksh 28 million, destined for the six Sub-County Hospitals across Uasin Gishu County.
Speaking during the event, Governor Bii emphasized the county government’s commitment to ensuring that all health facilities remain well-stocked as residents enter the festive season.
“This is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare services and ensure timely medical care for our residents,” Governor Bii said.
The Governor also announced that the second batch of medical supplies, valued at Ksh 40 million, will arrive on Monday and will be distributed to all dispensaries and health centres in the county.
Governor Bii urged residents to promptly report any medical complications, especially during this season marked by traditional rites of passage. “We have established a dedicated response team to provide timely care and prevent avoidable loss of life among our young people,” he added.
This initiative underscores Uasin Gishu County’s commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that every resident has access to essential medical services during high-risk periods.
