TENP Chief Principal Dr Charles Koech

The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) Chief Principal and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Charles Koech, OGW, today presided over the institution’s September 2025 intake orientation, addressing over 2,000 first-year students at the institution’s square grounds.

Dr. Koech urged students to remain focused and committed, reminding them of the sacrifices made to keep them in school. He emphasized the importance of time management, especially with the 95%–99% modularized programs.

> “Your assessment begins the first day you step in class; you cannot afford to waste any time,” he stated.

The principal encouraged freshers to also invest in co-curricular activities, highlighting their role in shaping well-rounded individuals. He proudly referenced TENP’s recent achievements, including being crowned Best TVET Institution at the 2025 Kenya National Music Festivals in Nyeri.

> “Your student president received the trophy from none other than His Excellency the President himself,” Dr. Koech noted.

Dr. Koech assured students that TENP remains dedicated to helping them realize their dreams and achieve their goals, both academically and beyond.

He concluded by stressing that good time management will not only help the freshers excel in their studies but also equip them with essential life skills such as discipline, responsibility, and efficiency—qualities that will shape their future careers and personal growth.
