President Ruto: Kenya’s Transformation Is Unstoppable as Nyali Affordable Housing Project Takes Shape

President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering affordable housing and driving inclusive development across the country, declaring that Kenya’s transformation is “unstoppable.”

The Head of State spoke in Mombasa County on Thursday during an inspection tour of the Nyali VOK Affordable Housing Project, where the government is constructing 1,932 housing units under its flagship Affordable Housing Programme.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, President Ruto hailed the initiative as a demonstration of his administration’s dedication to both dignified housing and economic empowerment.

“This transformative project has already employed more than 650 people, providing much-needed jobs while also reshaping our urban spaces. We are creating opportunities, restoring dignity through housing, and ensuring that no Kenyan is left behind,” said the President.

He underscored that his government has no room for “narrow-minded and retrogressive leaders” who derail national development, adding that the focus remains firmly on delivering projects that improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The President emphasized that the Nyali VOK Project is part of a broader national effort to deliver thousands of affordable units countrywide, reduce the housing deficit, and promote inclusive urban growth.

“The housing programme is not just about shelter—it is about creating jobs, building industries, and transforming communities. Kenya’s journey of progress cannot be stopped,” President Ruto affirmed.

The Affordable Housing Programme remains a cornerstone of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s agenda, aimed at meeting the growing demand for housing, boosting local economies, and fostering sustainable urban development.
