ODM’s Caleb Amisi Hosts DAP-K’s Seth Panyako, Shares Winning Strategies Ahead of Malava By-Election

ODM Member of Parliament for Saboti Constituency, Caleb Amisi, has thrown his weight behind DAP-K candidate Seth Panyako ahead of the upcoming Malava Constituency by-election.

In a show of political solidarity within the Azimio la Umoja coalition, Amisi hosted Panyako at his Kitale residence, where the two leaders held what was described as a strategic meeting focused on campaign planning and electoral success.

Amisi, a second-term MP known for securing victory in the ethnically diverse Saboti Constituency, said he shared with Panyako “valuable ideas and strategies” on how to win in a cosmopolitan setting like Malava.

“I welcomed my brother Seth Panyako to my home to share with him my personal experience and unique approach that helped me win in Saboti,” Amisi stated. “Malava, like Saboti, is cosmopolitan and requires a unifying message, strategic grassroots mobilization, and a people-first agenda.”

The meeting is being viewed as part of a broader effort by Azimio coalition leaders to consolidate support and improve coordination in the run-up to the by-election. Panyako, a former health unionist and vocal public servant, is banking on his national profile and grassroots connections to clinch the seat under the DAP-K banner.

Political analysts say Amisi’s involvement could boost Panyako’s campaign, particularly by tapping into Azimio’s broader support base in western Kenya.

“I am grateful for the warm reception and wise counsel from Hon. Amisi. His victory in Saboti is an inspiration, and I am confident that with such support, we will deliver Malava to the people,” Panyako said after the meeting.
