Multi-million Chepkorio Water Project

The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet, North Rift Valley Water Works and National Government have partnered on a multimillion-water project in Chepkorio. 

 

The Ksh 45 million project aims to improve access to clean water for over 2,000 households, neighbouring institutions in Chepkorio and surrounding villages.

 

The works include; Rehabilitation of Water Treatment Works and Upgrading existing infrastructure for efficient water treatment. The project is expected to be complete in 6 months time.

The Construction of Masonry Water Tank to store treated water, and Installation 10km raising line and 18km distribution line to deliver water to households.

 

This project promises to enhance the lives of residents by providing reliable and clean water, addressing a critical need in the community.

 

Present during the site handing over today were DCC Keiyo Diana Baraza, County Government Staff led Emmanuel Birir Chief Officer, representative of Area MP, North Rift Water Service Board led by Miriam Choge among other Community leaders.
