Governor Bii: Health and Infrastructure Development Key in Transforming Uasin Gishu
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and improving infrastructure as part of the county’s Nguzo Kumi development plan.
Speaking on Wednesday during an inspection of the ongoing refurbishment works at Kipkabus Health Centre, Governor Bii said the facility upgrade is designed to ease congestion and bring essential services closer to the people.
“Health is central to our Nguzo Kumi Plan, which is why we are upgrading our facilities to ensure every family accesses quality care close to home. The refurbishment of Kipkabus Health Centre will expand services and enhance patient care for thousands of residents in this region,” he said.
Later, the Governor addressed residents at Waunifor Market, where he highlighted progress in other development sectors, including roads, water supply, and agriculture. He emphasized that these investments are not only transforming communities but also uplifting livelihoods.
“Our commitment is to ensure that development is felt in every village and household. From improving our road networks and ensuring clean water access, to supporting farmers with the right infrastructure, we are laying a foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity,” Bii added.
Residents welcomed the governor’s visit, noting that the ongoing projects have already begun to ease daily challenges such as access to healthcare and market opportunities for farmers.
Governor Bii assured the people of Uasin Gishu that his administration would continue to prioritize service delivery, guided by the Nguzo Kumi pillars, to make the county a model of growth and inclusivity
