Embakasi East MP Babu Owino Ranked Best Legislator in Kenya
The youthful MP, known for his outspoken nature and fiery contributions both in and outside Parliament, received the recognition on Friday, describing it as a victory not just for himself but for the people he represents.
Speaking after the announcement, Owino thanked God, his family, and constituents of Embakasi East, whom he referred to as the “Embakasi East Republic,” for their unwavering support.
“Today we celebrate another milestone after being ranked the best Member of Parliament in Kenya by Superchoice Awards. We must rise, not with weapons, but with courage. With unity, not silence. With truth, not fear. Every empire of bad governance will be shaken and every throne of hopelessness must fall. We are the future,” said Owino.
The recognition comes at a time when the lawmaker has been vocal about governance reforms, youth empowerment, and increased accountability in government institutions.
Residents of Embakasi East celebrated the news, with many noting that the MP’s consistency in engaging with the community and championing issues affecting ordinary citizens has set him apart from his colleagues.
