The Kenya School of Government (KSG) has rolled out the Training of Trainers on Public Service Governance, Ethics, and Integrity Transformation program, a major step in embedding ethics and accountability in Kenya’s public sector.
Speaking at the launch, KSG Director General Prof Nura Mohammed described the program as a cornerstone for transforming how public institutions deliver services to citizens. She emphasized that sustainable reform starts with people and culture, noting that training programs like this are key to equipping leaders with the tools and mindset to uphold ethical governance.
“This program is about building a purpose-driven public service anchored on integrity, transparency and citizen-focused leadership. Through these trainers, we will cascade values-based leadership across all levels of government,” Prof Mohammed said.
The program brings together participants from the Kenya School of Government, the State Department for Public Service, the Executive Office of the President, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Public Service Commission. It is designed to equip them with skills to lead institutional reforms, strengthen ethics frameworks and create a culture of accountability across government.
The training was officially launched by Dr Reuben Chirchir, Director of Governance and Public Service Reforms and Re-engineering at the Executive Office of the President. Dr Chirchir lauded the collaboration and urged participants to be ambassadors of change in their respective agencies.
Prof Mohammed noted that KSG is positioning itself as the hub of excellence in public service transformation, where leadership development is paired with governance innovations to meet the evolving needs of citizens. “We are committed to accelerating reforms and nurturing ethical leaders who will drive lasting change and rebuild public trust in government,” she added.
This program is expected to fast-track reforms, entrench integrity as a core public service value and inspire a new generation of leaders committed to ethical governance and quality service delivery.
