Woman Collapses After Finding Her Husband with Their Househelp at Lodging Near Busia Border

 

A dramatic scene unfolded on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at a lodging near the Busia border when a woman fainted on the spot after walking in on her husband and their live-in househelp in bed together.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman had received a tip-off from a friend that her husband, a long-distance driver, had been spotted entering a small hotel near the border at around 9.00 AM. Curious and suspicious, she allegedly borrowed a neighbour’s motorcycle and rode straight to the scene.

To her shock, upon arrival, she saw her husband’s shoes at the door of one of the rooms. She knocked several times without a response. The lodging attendants claim she then pushed her way in, only to find the man lying in bed with their 21-year-old househelp, who was reportedly naked and trying to cover herself with a pillow.

“She screamed and fell backwards. We had to pour water on her before she regained consciousness,” said Judith Anyango, a cleaner who witnessed the commotion.

The man, who is said to have been in a towel, tried to flee but was restrained by boda boda riders who had gathered after hearing the commotion. Police had to intervene to protect him from an angry crowd that was already growing outside the facility.

The woman was rushed to Busia Referral Hospital, where she was treated for shock and high blood pressure. Relatives later confirmed that she had suspected her husband of cheating but never imagined it would be with someone they trusted and lived with in the same compound. to read more click here
