Governor Lusaka Mourns Death of Chwele-Kabuchai Ward MCA Barasa Mukhongo

 


Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Chwele-Kabuchai Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), Hon. Barasa Mukhongo.

In his condolence message, Governor Lusaka described the late MCA as a committed public servant whose political career spanned more than 20 years.

“I have received the news of the passing of Chwele-Kabuchai Ward MCA Hon. Barasa Mukhongo with deep shock and sadness. Hon. Mukhongo was a dedicated public servant whose political journey spanned over two decades,” said Governor Lusaka.

He praised Mukhongo as a principled leader who stood firm in championing the interests of his constituents. “He was a man of principle—honest, firm, and unwavering in defending the interests of his people. His bold voice and grounded leadership earned him respect across the political divide,” Lusaka stated.

Governor Lusaka further noted that Bungoma has lost a true son and leader who leaves behind a strong legacy of integrity and service to the community.

“He will be dearly missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” concluded the governor.
