Senator Methu Warns Mountain Leaders: Beware of Moses Kuria's Political Comeback

Nyandarua Senator John Methu has issued a stern warning to Mount Kenya leaders and residents, urging vigilance over the recent political maneuvers of former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, whom he accuses of being a covert operative sent to disrupt the region’s unity.

In a strongly worded statement, Senator Methu described Kuria’s re-emergence into the political spotlight as a “calculated mission” orchestrated from within President William Ruto’s inner circles — a move he claims is aimed at dividing the Mount Kenya voting bloc ahead of the 2027 general election.

“My instincts scream that he’s been sent by Ruto, not as someone who has resigned, but as a project,” said Methu. “His mission? To resurrect his dead political shell and split the mountain right down the middle.”

The Senator, known for his fiery rhetoric and unflinching loyalty to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, emphasized that Kuria’s recent political activity lacks sincerity and appears more strategic than redemptive.

“He’s moving like a man on assignment — not a man in repentance,” Methu added. “There’s only one path to redemption: He must come to Wamunyoro and be baptized in truth.”

The reference to Wamunyoro — a symbolic rallying point for Gachagua’s support base — underlines the Senator’s message: true leadership in the region must align with the Deputy President, whom he referred to as the “one and only Kingpin.”

Methu made it clear that Moses Kuria must not attempt to lead, but rather follow, and stand behind Gachagua if he is to be accepted back into the fold of Mt. Kenya leadership.

Signed off with his signature line, “Njitagwo Mùhìa wa Methù. I don’t blink. I don’t forget,” the statement is being interpreted as both a warning shot and a rallying cry for unity under Rigathi Gachagua’s leadership.

The remarks have sparked debate within political circles, with some viewing them as a necessary defense of regional unity, while others argue that they risk deepening political rifts.

As 2027 draws nearer, the battle for Mt. Kenya’s soul appears to be intensifying — with Moses Kuria now firmly in the crosshairs of the region’s political establishment.
