Governor Natembeya Hosts Cherang’any MP Patrick Simiyu for Talks on Development and Service Delivery

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Monday hosted Cherang’any MP Hon. Patrick Simiyu at the county’s Chebarus office for a courtesy visit focused on strengthening service delivery and accelerating community development initiatives in the region.

The meeting between the two leaders was described as warm and constructive, with discussions centred on enhancing collaboration between the county and national government to better serve the people of Cherang’any and the wider Trans Nzoia County.

Governor Natembeya commended the MP’s gesture, noting that such engagements were crucial for effective leadership and community-centred governance.

“Our conversation focused on matters that directly impact the lives of our people—quality service delivery and sustainable development. We are united in our mission to transform lives,” the governor stated.

The talks touched on ongoing infrastructure projects, youth empowerment programs, and strategies to improve access to education, health, and agricultural support services in the sub-county.

Hon. Simiyu echoed the governor’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of unity among elected leaders regardless of their political affiliations.

“When leaders come together and speak in one voice, the people benefit. I look forward to more partnerships with the county government for the good of Cherang’any,” said the MP.

The visit was seen as a positive step toward fostering intergovernmental cooperation and ensuring that development projects reflect the needs and aspirations of local communities.

Both leaders affirmed their commitment to continued collaboration to deliver inclusive, people-driven development across Trans Nzoia County.
