Uasin Gishu Women Representative and Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Sholei has joined residents of Cheramei in Turbo Constituency in a fundraising drive to support families affected by the tragic oil tanker accident at Kapkong.

Sholei said the fundraiser was aimed at standing with families who lost loved ones and those whose relatives are still undergoing treatment following the accident.

She had earlier visited victims admitted at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), where she conveyed her condolences to families that lost their loved ones and encouraged those whose relatives remain hospitalized.

Sholei also joined the family of the late John Kiplagat Limo as they laid him to rest, offering support to the bereaved family during the difficult moment.

She said her thoughts and prayers remain with all families affected by the tragedy, as well as those still receiving medical care.

The Kapkong accident has left several people dead and others nursing serious injuries, with calls for continued support for affected families and victims undergoing treatment.

Sholei urged residents to continue standing together and supporting families as they navigate the aftermath of the tragedy.
