Turbo MP Commissions Water Project at Murgusi Primary School

Turbo MP Hon. Janet Sitienei Rotich, CBS, has commissioned a new water project at Murgusi Primary School in Ng’enyilel Ward, Turbo Constituency, describing the initiative as an important step towards ensuring learners have access to clean and reliable water.

Speaking during the commissioning, Sitienei said access to water is a basic necessity in every learning institution and expressed her appreciation to the Omeriye Foundation for responding to her appeal and supporting the school with the project.

She said the new water facility will go a long way in improving hygiene and sanitation at the school while creating a better and healthier environment for learners and teachers.

The legislator noted that the project demonstrates the importance of partnerships in addressing challenges facing schools and communities, particularly in areas where additional support is needed to complement government efforts.

Sitienei thanked the Omeriye Foundation for partnering with her to respond to the water needs of Murgusi Primary School, saying such interventions have a direct impact on the welfare of learners.

She said she will continue engaging development partners and other stakeholders to support projects that improve the lives of residents and enhance learning conditions across Turbo Constituency.

The commissioning of the water project marks a significant boost for Murgusi Primary School, with learners expected to benefit from improved access to clean and reliable water for drinking, sanitation and other essential school activities.

Sitienei reaffirmed her commitment to working with communities and partners to address pressing needs and deliver projects that have a direct impact on the people of Turbo.
