‘TAWE’ Takes Over Kenya: Natembeya, Sifuna Rally Gen Zs and Grassroots Against Ruto Government

The “Tawe” slogan has powerfully re-energized the Linda Mwananchi rallies because it translates grassroots defiance into a unified national anthem against the political establishment.

Meaning “No” in the Luhya language, the slogan was originally Started  by fiery  Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya before being integrated into the Linda Mwananchi movement led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

It is worth noting that  the slogan is drawing thousands to these rallies because of the call to reject  the Economic failed Policies of the Ruto led broad based administered.

The slogan serves as a vocal rejection of heavily criticized national policies, including over-taxation through the housing levy, the Social Health Authority (SHA), and the new university funding model that has left millions of the Students stranded .

In essence, it is an anti-Corruption Anthem that frames a firm "no" against government cartels, public theft, and economic exploitation that has remained burdensome to ordinary citizens of Kenya .

The first term governor is simply defying Traditional Political Gatekeepers and truth be told the slogan has quickly toppled  local dynasties  In the former Western Kenya.

Established political power brokers  Musalia Mudavadi , Moses Wetang'ula, Francis Atwoli and Wycliffe Oparanya, Kenneth Lusaka and their cohorts who are faced with extinction are totally scared that the young man Natembeya who had initially declared interest in the Presidency is offering an alternative voice to a population fatigued by their traditional tribal kingpinship that seems to have slipped through their armpits.

Natembeya who has since dropped his ambition for the Presidency has thrown his weight behind Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and the pair are  championing the idea that citizens do not need permission from political gatekeepers to organize, speak, or assemble.

Their alignment with the Gen Zees full of renewed Organic Energy, the pair together with other Linda Mwananchi big wigs are moving from County to County  mobilizing massive numbers  who feel politically disenfranchised.

Leading Parliamentary Aspirant for Kwanza Constituency Moses Wanjala Lupao said the Linda Mwananchi rallies have deliberately been providing platforms for young aspirants and social media influencers, allowing the "Tawe" energy to naturally multiply online and offline.

Francis Wangila who is vying for the Hospital Ward representative seat said  just as Natembeya's resistance against State Intimidation hardened and made him more popular, efforts to remove the Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as  the ODM Secretary General had propelled his rise to the National Stature.

"Look at the disruption of the Homa Bay rally where police used teargas , where goons terrorised us , burning vehicles , abducting of Women and doing all sorts of criminal acts", This was madness which have

backfired.

Wangila said the aggression has only hardened public resolve, converting local political resistance into a broader national movement.

"The  government is shaken by slogans like Wantam and Tawe  that have gained  momentum not only in Western Kenya but the whole Country and that is why goons are being put on stand by to disrupt the Linda Mwananchi rallies", he said.

Sikhendu Ward representative Andrew Kutitila said that the new Leadership Strategy is offering transformation beyond Self-Interest and warned those who had dismissed Sifuna as fire on paper to prepare themselves since they will be facing tougher times.

Kutitila questioned why there is fear around the political rise of Natembeya and Sifuna and said  that Sisi ni Sifuna and TAWE remains a people's call against poor leadership.

Mzee Muhari Malao of the Elijah Masinde founded Dini ya Musambwa heaped Praise in Natembeya for standing with his brother Edwin Sifuna and told off those from Bungoma and the entire Western Kenya for saying Sifuna was young and not monied enough to run a Presidential election Campaign.

"Bakhangarani bapinga Sifuna nende Natembeya bali busa mabusi mumuyekhe kumukhula kulabira nabo", loosely translated "Those who are opposed to Natembeya and Sifuna are captives jailed on sand and will be swept by the hurricane.

Muhari said that the late Elijah Wanameme's prophecy of a son has been born and will carry the mantle has come true and reflects Sifuna who was barely years before the legendary prophet died .

He said there was no Bukusu Prophet all the way from Mutonyi wa Nabukelembe, Wachie Wa Naumbwa and Elijah Wanameme who did not  revolt against  exploitation, bad European rule and slavery and said Tawe is trending in Kenya  because the Spirits of the prophets have reopened their eyes.

He challenged Kenyans to reject the old political order of some leaders hindering those opposed to their school of thought from addressing people in their home tuffs like it happened in Homa Bay where armed goons terrorised the Linda Mwananchi team , destroying properties, causing bodily harm and stealing valuables from the media crew and politicians .

Former Sitatunga ward representative Dr. Daniel Kaburu said the Tawe Movement got overwhelming support during the Linda Mwananchi rally in Meru where  Thousands of Linda Mwananchi supporters from across the country including Kisii, Eldoret, the Western region, and Uasin Gishu  stepped forward, especially women and Gen Zees  embraced the call to turn up in large numbers on 10th August next year and vote out the William Ruto led administration from office.

Kaburu said Kenyans need to rise up to the occasion and defeat bad leadership which he said if removed will have solved 80 percent of all problems facing them.
