Sholei Meets Naiberi Boda Boda Operators, Hears Challenges Facing Riders

 

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Boss Sholei has met boda boda operators from Naiberi Centre as she engages with residents on challenges affecting their livelihoods.

Sholei said the meeting on Monday gave her an opportunity to interact directly with the riders, listen to their experiences and better understand the difficulties they encounter in their daily work.

She noted that boda boda transport remains an important source of income for many operators, helping them support their families and meet their daily needs.

“I had the privilege of meeting with boda boda operators from Naiberi Centre on Monday,” Sholei said, adding that for many of the riders, the work is how they earn a living and support their families.

The Uasin Gishu Woman Representative said she appreciated the opportunity to sit with the operators and hear their concerns firsthand, in what she described as an important engagement with members of the local community.

Sholei has continued to undertake grassroots engagements in Uasin Gishu as she interacts with different groups and residents on issues affecting their livelihoods and development. She also serves as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
