Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has held discussions with Nyandarua Senator John Methu on national unity, good governance and strengthening collaboration between regions.

Natembeya said the meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on issues affecting the country and explore ways of promoting cooperation beyond regional boundaries.

The governor emphasized the importance of building a united Kenya through inclusive leadership, accountable governance and partnerships that bring together leaders and communities from different parts of the country.

“Productive discussion on national unity, good governance, and inter-regional collaboration,” Natembeya said in a statement following the meeting.

The engagement comes amid growing calls for political and regional leaders to work together in addressing challenges facing Kenyans while putting national interests ahead of political and regional divisions.

Natembeya has increasingly positioned himself as a voice for governance reforms and national cohesion, while Methu has been active in national political and policy debates.

The two leaders' meeting is expected to fuel discussions on the need for greater cooperation among leaders as Kenya seeks to strengthen unity and improve service delivery across counties.
