Nambale MP Aspirant Kevin Okwara Backs Community Transformation Through Church Discipleship Training

Nambale MP aspirant and Linda Mwananchi coalition member Kevin Okwara has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that equip local communities with skills and knowledge to drive social transformation.

Okwara and his wife hosted a team from the Anglican Church in Nambale for a three-day training on Missions and Discipleship at the Noble Conference Centre in Eldoret.

The training was facilitated through LIFE Ministry under Rev. Simon Andiki, with a focus on strengthening the participants’ capacity to reach out to their communities, make disciples and contribute to the growth of the Church.

Okwara said the initiative was aimed at going beyond training by equipping participants to become agents of positive change within their communities.

The team is expected to visit St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Eldoret before returning to Nambale, bringing the three-day fellowship and learning programme to a close.

Okwara also commended the Provost of Nambale, Rev. Wandera Nyongesa, for facilitating the opportunity and for his efforts to strengthen the mission of the Church.

He expressed optimism that the knowledge and skills gained during the training would have a lasting impact in Nambale and beyond.

“Training people is one thing; equipping people to transform their communities is another,” Okwara said, emphasizing the importance of investing in people who can positively influence society.

He thanked LIFE Ministry, Rev. Andiki and the Anglican leadership in Nambale for their role in the programme, saying the initiative would help strengthen community outreach and discipleship.

The training comes as Okwara continues his political activities ahead of the 2027 elections under the Linda Mwananchi coalition.
