Natembeya Fires Back at Ruto: ‘If We Have No Plan, Why Are You Campaigning?’

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya Saturday criticized President William Ruto's sharp rhetorical attacks and language directed at political rivals.

Natembeya who was speaking in Botwa Milimani in Cherang'any Sub County during the funeral service of the late Alfred Wekesa Barasa whose life was cut short during a fatal road  accident on 1st of August, 2026 along Kaplamai -Moi's bridge road rebuked President William Ruto for using harsh descriptions while dismissing his  critics , mainly opposition chiefs  as lacking viable plans or using terms like "foolish" during political rallies and public addresses.

Natembeya  termed such high-temperature exchanges and direct insults from the head of state as unpresidential and detrimental to national standards of public discourse.

He said such uncooth exchanges from someone holding the highest office in the land highlight the growing political polarization in Kenya as alliances shifts  ahead of the 10th August elections.

The opposition including Linda Mwananchi and the Alternative government, he said poss a threat to Ruto who after realizing that he had lost ground is labelling them as those with "No Plan!” , Nothing in their brains.

In a fiery and unapologetic rejoinder,  Natembeya said" If  the President dare thinks we are planless, agendaless and even brainless why is he moving all over campaigning while crying a top of his vehicle?", he said.

The administrator turned fiery politician told Ruto that the first assignment on the intray when the opposition kicks him out of office will be to do away with all of his unpopular policies including SHA and the housing scheme that had overburdened the people of Kenya.

The Governor was flanked by the Trans Nzoia County Director of Communication Professor Felix Sialo.
