Nyeri MP Rahab Mukami congratulates new police recruits as she joins Ruto at Kiganjo

Nyeri County MP Rahab Mukami has congratulated newly trained National Police Service recruits, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity and respect for citizens’ rights as they begin their careers.

Ms Mukami joined President William Ruto at the National Police College in Kiganjo, Nyeri County, where the recruits marked the successful completion of their training.

In a message following the graduation, the MP said the training had prepared the new officers to respond professionally to the country’s security needs while safeguarding the rights and freedoms of citizens.

“As you embark on this noble calling to serve and protect our country, may you carry your responsibility with integrity, professionalism, courage and compassion,” Ms Mukami said.

She congratulated the recruits on what she described as a remarkable achievement, wishing them success as they take up their responsibilities in the National Police Service.

The graduation at Kiganjo comes as the Government continues to emphasise professionalisation of the police service and strengthening its capacity to respond to the country's security needs.

Ms Mukami's message focused on the balance between effective policing and protection of fundamental rights, urging the new officers to approach their duties with courage and compassion.

She also encouraged them to view policing as a public service, with their conduct expected to reflect the values of integrity and professionalism.

The MP shared her message under the hashtag #MukamiMaendeleoMashinani, which she uses in communicating her constituency development and public engagement activities.
