Murkomen Hails Security Agencies as 11th SOG Graduates Complete Elite Training in Samburu

 

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has presided over the 11th Special Operations Group (SOG) graduation ceremony at Kamanga Training Camp in Samburu County, marking another milestone in Kenya’s efforts to strengthen its national security architecture.

Murkomen commended the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and the National Police Service (NPS) for successfully training and graduating the latest group of SOG officers.

He said the milestone would enhance the country’s capacity to respond to emerging security threats while supporting the government’s broader development agenda.

The CS noted that a secure environment remains critical to economic growth, investment and the delivery of government programmes, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration among security agencies.

The ceremony brought together senior security officials, including NIS Director General Noordin Ali and Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (APS) Gilbert Masengeli.

The graduation at Kamanga Training Camp underscores the government’s continued investment in specialised security capabilities as Kenya works to strengthen preparedness and operational effectiveness across the country.

The newly graduated SOG officers are expected to contribute to the country’s security operations and support efforts to maintain peace and stability.
