Former Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter Joins Edwin Sifuna's Linda Mwananchi Team

Former Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has officially joined the Linda Mwananchi movement led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, marking another high-profile addition to the fast-growing political outfit ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Keter was unveiled as a member of the movement as he adopted the slogan "Team ni Moja, Term ni Moja," a rallying call that reinforces the group's push to make President William Ruto a one-term president.

His entry is expected to strengthen Linda Mwananchi's presence in the North Rift, particularly in Nandi County, where Keter has remained an influential political figure despite losing the Nandi Hills parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Election.

The former lawmaker becomes one of several prominent leaders who have recently joined the Sifuna-led movement as it expands its national footprint beyond its traditional support bases. The outfit has in recent months attracted politicians and influential personalities from different regions as it seeks to position itself as a key player in Kenya's opposition politics ahead of the 2027 polls.

Linda Mwananchi has been holding rallies across the country while recruiting leaders from various political parties and regions. Political analysts say the movement's growing list of high-profile recruits signals its ambition to transform into a formidable national political force capable of influencing the 2027 electoral landscape.

Keter's latest political move comes as opposition realignments continue to gather momentum, with several leaders joining or expressing support for the Linda Mwananchi movement, which is championing governance reforms and positioning itself as an alternative political platform.
