Eliud Kipchoge Receives Final Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition D-Max

 Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has received the 159th and final unit of the exclusive Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition D-Max, marking the completion of a special collaboration with Isuzu East Africa.

Kipchoge, who made history by becoming the first person to run a marathon distance in under two hours in Vienna, Austria, in 2019, described receiving the final vehicle as a moment of great significance.

“It’s a joy to receive the 159th and final Kipchoge 1:59 Limited Edition D-Max from my Isuzu East Africa family,” Kipchoge said.

Only 159 units of the limited-edition vehicle were produced, with each carrying Kipchoge’s name and signature. The collection was created to celebrate the spirit behind his historic 1:59:40.2 marathon achievement and his message of perseverance, discipline and pushing beyond perceived limits.

For Kipchoge, however, the significance of the vehicles extends beyond their exclusivity.

“This is the last of only 159 units built, each one carrying my name, my signature but most importantly, my story about pushing limits,” he said.

The former world marathon record-holder said the journey from the historic morning in Vienna to the arrival of 159 vehicles on Kenyan roads represents a shared story between him and the owners.

“From a Vienna morning to 159 vehicles on Kenyan roads, this is truly a story of 159 owners with a shared belief in what’s possible when you commit and trust the process,” Kipchoge added.

The final D-Max brings to a close a limited-edition series inspired by one of the most remarkable moments in athletics history. It also reinforces Kipchoge’s enduring philosophy that extraordinary achievements are built through consistency, commitment and trust in the process.

With the final vehicle now delivered, the 159 owners become custodians of a piece of the Kipchoge 1:59 story — a story that began with a historic run in Vienna and has now found its way onto Kenyan roads.
