South B MCA Waithera Chege Applauds Global Medical Mission Bringing Hope to Children with Heart Disease

Nairobi South B MCA Hon. Waithera Chege has commended the launch of the Care For a Child's Heart (CFACH) Pediatric Cardiac Mission  at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet County, describing the initiative as a remarkable demonstration of compassion, global partnership, and the power of service in transforming young lives.

The life-saving mission has brought together a team of renowned pediatric cardiac specialists from the United States, Dubai, Italy, and other parts of the world to perform complex heart surgeries on children who have been identified over the past two months as requiring urgent medical intervention.

Hon. Waithera Chege expressed profound appreciation to the **Emirates Airline Foundation** for sponsoring free flights for the volunteer medical teams, ensuring they travelled safely to Kenya to offer their expertise to children in need.

She also lauded the dedication of the international medical professionals who have volunteered their time and skills, including **Sam Monsy**, a perfusionist from Dubai; **Dr. Anil Ramaiah**, a pediatric intensivist from Dubai; **Dr. Rajnish Garg**, a pediatric anesthesiologist from Dubai; and **Dr. Roberto Di Donato**, a renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon from Rome, Italy.

The MCA further paid tribute to **Hannelle N. Karari**, Executive Director of **Care For a Child's Heart (CFACH)**, for her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to ensuring that children suffering from congenital and acquired heart conditions receive access to life-saving treatment regardless of their financial circumstances.

Hon. Waithera Chege noted that initiatives such as the CFACH Pediatric Cardiac Mission demonstrate the transformative impact of collaboration between healthcare professionals, charitable organizations, development partners, and government leaders in improving access to specialized healthcare.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting programmes that promote quality healthcare, particularly for vulnerable children, emphasizing that every child deserves the opportunity to live a healthy life and pursue their dreams.
