PS Roseline Njogu Reaffirms Kenya's Resolve to Combat Human Trafficking Through Stronger Partnerships

Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs Ms. Roseline K. Njogu has reaffirmed Kenya's unwavering commitment to combating human trafficking by championing stronger prevention, protection and multi-sector partnerships during the Fourth International Conference on Human Trafficking held at Tangaza University in Nairobi.

Addressing delegates ahead of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, marked annually on **July 30**, PS Njogu called for enhanced collaboration among government agencies, law enforcement, development partners, academia, faith-based organisations and survivor-led groups to dismantle trafficking networks, strengthen victim protection and hold perpetrators accountable.

She emphasised that tackling human trafficking requires a united approach, particularly as traffickers continue to exploit vulnerable people through increasingly sophisticated schemes. Her remarks echoed this year's global theme, **"Trapped Behind the Scam,"** highlighting the need for greater public awareness, stronger institutions and coordinated action to prevent exploitation.
