Mandago Explodes at Murkomen Over Succession Politics, Issues Stern Warning

Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has launched a fierce attack on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, accusing him of hypocrisy and dragging succession politics into public discourse.

In a strongly worded statement, Mandago said Murkomen and his allies should stop what he termed as political provocation, warning that he would not remain silent if they continued targeting him.

The senator accused the Interior CS of allegedly taking contradictory political positions while attempting to influence leadership and succession conversations in the Rift Valley region.

Mandago said leaders should focus on serving Kenyans and addressing pressing issues such as insecurity, unemployment and the high cost of living instead of engaging in divisive political battles.

He warned that he was prepared to respond politically if Murkomen’s camp continued what he described as attempts to undermine him.

“If they continue playing with me, I will deal with them ruthlessly,” Mandago warned, signalling a possible escalation in the political rivalry between the two leaders.

The remarks are expected to intensify the growing succession debate in the Rift Valley, where several leaders are positioning themselves ahead of the next political contest.
