The shocking discovery has raised fresh concerns about insecurity and mysterious killings in the area.Residents alerted police after noticing a strong foul smell and unusual activities around the site.

Police officers, together with forensic experts, arrived at the scene and began excavations that led to the recovery of four bodies buried in separate shallow graves. Authorities said the bodies were in different stages of decomposition, making identification difficult.

He also urged families with missing relatives to report to the police to help in the identification process.

Local leaders called for calm as detectives continued searching the area over fears that more bodies could be buried there.

One resident said, “People are living in fear because nobody knows who could be behind these killings.”

The bodies were moved to Mwingi General Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examinations as investigations continue.
