“Stand Together and Lift the Vulnerable” — Joho’s Powerful Eid-ul-Adha Message Captures National Attention
Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Ali Joho has sparked nationwide conversation after delivering a powerful message of unity, compassion and sacrifice during Eid-ul-Adha celebrations observed by Muslims across Kenya.
As thousands of faithful gathered for prayers and celebrations, Joho called on Kenyans to rise above divisions and embrace the true spirit of Eid by supporting vulnerable families and strengthening national unity.
“Eid-ul-Adha reminds us that true faith is demonstrated through sacrifice, compassion and caring for one another. We must stand together as one people and ensure no Kenyan is left behind,” said Joho.
His message, centered on peace, generosity and coexistence, resonated strongly amid ongoing economic challenges facing many households across the country.
The CS urged communities to use the festive season to spread kindness and hope by reaching out to the needy, sharing meals and supporting struggling families.
Joho emphasized that Kenya’s diversity should remain a source of strength rather than division, calling on leaders and citizens alike to promote harmony and tolerance.
“Our unity as Kenyans is more important now than ever. Let this Eid inspire us to build bridges of understanding and uplift those who need our support,” he added.
Eid-ul-Adha, widely known as the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim and is marked through prayers, charity and acts of generosity.
Across major towns and cities, Muslims gathered in mosques and open grounds for special prayers before joining family and community celebrations marked by food sharing and charitable giving.
Joho’s remarks quickly drew attention for highlighting the social responsibility aspect of the holiday, with many praising the call for compassion and collective responsibility during difficult economic times.
As the celebrations continued nationwide, the message from Joho remained clear — Kenya’s future depends not only on economic progress, but also on unity, empathy and standing together as one nation.
