NG-CDF Commissions New Administration Block at Mbondoni Primary School

The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board has continued to strengthen its role in grassroots development with the commissioning of a modern administration block at Mbondoni Primary School in Mwingi West Constituency.

The project, funded under the Best Practice Demonstration Programme (BPDP) for the 2024/2025 financial year, is part of the Board’s broader strategy to enhance service delivery and promote sustainable community development across the country.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, NG-CDF Board Director Hon. Naomy Masitsa Shiyonga reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to improving education infrastructure as a key driver of socio-economic empowerment. She noted that the new facility will provide a more conducive environment for both teachers and learners, ultimately boosting academic performance.

She was accompanied by Eastern Region Coordinator Mr. Paul Kimilu, who emphasized the importance of investing in quality infrastructure to ensure long-term benefits for local communities. He added that the BPDP initiative is designed to showcase impactful projects that can be replicated in other constituencies.

The newly constructed administration block is fully equipped to support efficient school management and enhance service delivery within the institution. Education stakeholders at the event welcomed the project, citing its potential to improve working conditions for staff and create a better learning atmosphere for pupils.

Mwingi West Member of Parliament Hon. Charles Ngusya Nguna lauded the NG-CDF Board for prioritizing education projects in the constituency. He highlighted the critical role of such investments in uplifting living standards and expanding opportunities for young learners.

The event drew attendance from National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs), local leaders, members of the public, and pupils, reflecting strong community support for the initiative.
