The Kenya Bureau of Standards Internal Audit Department today culminated its Internal Audit Awareness Month celebrations with a high-level event held at the KEBS Headquarters, bringing together stakeholders through both physical and virtual participation.

The month-long activities were aimed at enhancing awareness on the critical role of internal audit in promoting accountability, transparency, good governance and risk management within organizations. Throughout the month of May, the department engaged stakeholders through a series of sensitization initiatives and interactive engagements designed to strengthen understanding of internal audit functions and their contribution to institutional excellence.

Speaking during the event, the KEBS leadership underscored the importance of internal audit as a strategic partner in enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls and supporting organizational objectives.

Participants also highlighted the need for continuous collaboration among departments and stakeholders to foster a culture of integrity, accountability and effective risk management within the organization.

The celebrations reaffirmed KEBS’ commitment to upholding the highest standards of governance and operational excellence in service delivery.
