New Legal Guide on Immigration Launched as Kenya Strengthens Migration Framework

Nairobi South Member of County Assembly Waithera Chege has hailed the release of the second edition of Immigration Law and Practice in Kenya, terming it a timely and essential resource for legal practitioners and policymakers navigating Kenya’s evolving immigration landscape.

The updated publication, authored by leading immigration lawyer Rose Muigai, was unveiled at a high-profile event attended by senior government officials and members of the judiciary. The launch was led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and presided over by Supreme Court judges Isaac Lenaola and Njoki Ndung'u.

The second edition offers comprehensive insights into key areas such as work permits, residency, citizenship, and refugee protection. It also reflects recent legislative amendments, court rulings, and policy developments shaping immigration law and practice in Kenya.
