Eldoret Polytechnic Leadership Shines at Continental Leadership and Innovation Gala in Nairobi

The leadership of the Eldoret National Polytechnic has earned continental recognition following its participation in the Eliad Aspire Global Leadership and Innovation Conference 2026, also known as the African Prestige Honoris Gala, held at the Pavilion Centre, Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi.

The institution’s Chief Principal, Dr. Charles Koech, accompanied by the Deputy Head of Department for Health Sciences, Emmanuel Kipruto, joined eminent leaders, policymakers, and institutions from across Africa for the high-profile event that celebrated excellence in leadership, innovation, and professional advancement.

Speaking after the event, Dr. Koech noted that the conference brought together influential stakeholders committed to strengthening professional standards across critical sectors. He highlighted the recognition accorded to the Kenya Nutrition and Dieticians Institute (KNDI), which was celebrated for its outstanding role in advancing nutrition and dietetics standards across the continent.

The gala also featured a post-award mocktail ceremony held in honour of the KNDI Chief Executive Officer, Dr. David Okeyo, in recognition of his leadership and contribution to the profession.

The event was headlined by powerful keynote addresses from global and continental thought leaders, including Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, and Prof. PLO Lumumba, Chair of the Lumumba Foundation Kenya. Both speakers emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, institutional excellence, and innovation-driven development in Africa.

Held at the prestigious Safari Park Hotel, the conference served as a platform for celebrating impactful institutions and fostering collaboration among professionals committed to transforming Africa’s development landscape.
