Calm and Justice Urged as Kalonzo Visits Injured Sammy Kioko in Hospital

Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has appealed for calm, fairness, and respect for due process following an incident involving Sammy Kioko, whom he described as “like a son.”

Musyoka spoke on Thursday evening after visiting Kioko at Nairobi West Hospital, where the young man is receiving treatment. The opposition leader said his visit was meant to support the family during what he termed a difficult and emotional moment.

“I came to stand with Sammy and his family and to pray for his quick and full recovery,” Musyoka said, emphasizing that Kioko’s health and dignity should remain the top priority.

The Wiper leader also disclosed that he had consulted Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, who is closely monitoring the situation. According to Musyoka, the governor expressed concern over the incident and affirmed her commitment to ensuring the matter is handled fairly and transparently.

As public interest in the case grows, Musyoka urged restraint, calling on all parties to avoid speculation and allow the truth to emerge through proper channels.

“My hope and prayer are that this matter proceeds with calm, sobriety, and a clear focus on the facts,” he said. “Sammy needs peace to heal, and the process must be just and respectful.”

The incident has sparked concern among leaders and the public alike, with renewed calls for accountability balanced with compassion for the affected family.

Musyoka concluded by stressing the need for unity and dignity, noting that justice must prevail without inflaming tensions.
