Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Mourns Passing of Distinguished Diplomat H.E. Aaron Suge

 Governor Jonathan Bii of Uasin Gishu County has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Excellency Aaron Suge, describing the late diplomat as an exemplary public servant whose career embodied integrity, dedication, and unwavering service to the nation.

In an official statement released today, Governor Bii paid tribute to Suge’s illustrious career in the Kenya Foreign Service, highlighting his rise through the ranks to serve as Ambassador of Kenya to Sudan — a position that, Governor Bii said, reflected Suge’s commitment to advancing Kenya’s diplomatic interests and strengthening bilateral relations.

“Kenya has lost a distinguished diplomat and an exemplary public servant whose life was defined by integrity, dedication, and service to the nation,” Governor Bii said. “His leadership in the Foreign Service, especially as Ambassador to Sudan, was marked by professionalism and a deep commitment to fostering peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding.”

The governor acknowledged the profound sense of loss felt in Suge’s home community of Kipsomba, as well as among colleagues in the diplomatic fraternity and across Kenya.

“His passing is a profound loss not only to his family in Kipsomba but also to the diplomatic community and the country at large,” Governor Bii stated. “Ambassador Suge’s legacy of service and excellence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of working with him.”

Governor Bii extended heartfelt condolences to Suge’s family, friends and loved ones, praying for strength and comfort in their time of grief. “May his legacy endure, and may his soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
