Koech unveiled his vision for Soliat Ward through a development-focused agenda aimed at addressing some of the key challenges affecting the community. His campaign platform centers on youth and women empowerment, improved infrastructure, education support, accessible healthcare, transparent leadership, and economic growth.
According to the aspirant, empowering young people and women will be one of his top priorities if elected. He noted that many young people in the ward face unemployment and limited opportunities, which he believes can be addressed through skills training, entrepreneurship programs, and partnerships that promote economic participation. He also pledged to support initiatives that enhance financial inclusion and self-reliance among women.
Infrastructure development is another major focus of his campaign. Koech emphasized the need to improve roads and other public infrastructure within Soliat Ward to ease transportation, boost trade, and enhance access to essential services. He said better roads would not only connect communities but also support farmers and small businesses by enabling them to move goods to markets more efficiently.
Education support programs also feature prominently in his agenda. Koech said he plans to work closely with county authorities and other stakeholders to strengthen bursary programs and ensure that students from disadvantaged backgrounds can access quality education. He stressed that education is a powerful tool for transforming communities and creating future opportunities for young people.
Healthcare improvement is another pillar of his development plan. The aspirant pledged to advocate for accessible and affordable quality healthcare services within the ward, including improved health facilities and better access to medical supplies. He said no resident should struggle to receive proper medical care due to distance, cost, or lack of services.
Koech also underscored the importance of transparent and accountable leadership. He promised to promote openness in the management of public resources and ensure that development projects are implemented fairly and effectively. According to him, strong leadership must be grounded in integrity, responsibility, and consistent engagement with the people.
Economic growth and job creation form the final component of his campaign agenda. He noted that Soliat Ward has significant potential for economic expansion if local businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs receive adequate support. By promoting investment, improving infrastructure, and encouraging local enterprise, he believes the ward can create more employment opportunities and strengthen its economy.
The aspirant’s campaign message is captured in his slogan, “Leadership That Delivers,” which reflects his commitment to practical solutions and measurable development outcomes.
As the 2027 General Elections draw closer, political activity in Soliat Ward is expected to intensify, with aspirants reaching out to voters and outlining their visions for the future of the community.
