Hon. James Wanjohi Joins Kiambu Leaders in Mourning Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa’s Mother

Kabete politician James Wanjohi on Saturday joined Karungo wa Thang’wa and his family in mourning the passing of the senator’s mother.

Wanjohi attended the family gathering to offer his condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family during what he described as a painful and difficult moment. He joined relatives, friends, and local leaders in prayers for the family and paid tribute to the late matriarch.

Speaking during the visit, Wanjohi emphasized the importance of leaders standing with their communities not only during moments of success and celebration, but also in times of grief and hardship. He noted that compassionate leadership requires presence and empathy when families face loss.

The Kabete leader said supporting the Thang’wa family during the mourning period was a reflection of the unity and shared humanity that binds leaders and the communities they serve.

“Leadership is about walking with people through every season of life,” he said, adding that offering comfort and prayers to grieving families is part of the responsibility leaders carry.

Senator Thang’wa, who represents Kiambu County in the Senate, has received an outpouring of support from political leaders, residents, and friends following the loss of his mother.

Wanjohi reiterated his commitment to what he described as people-centered leadership, saying Kabete deserves leaders who remain close to the community in both joyful and challenging moments.

The visit underscored the spirit of solidarity among leaders and residents as they continue to stand with the Thang’wa family during their time of mourning.
