Engineer Kipchirchir Mosonik Recounts Narrow Escape After Missing Helicopter That Claimed Life of Hon. Johanna Ng’eno

Engineer Kipchirchir Mosonik has shared an emotional account of how he narrowly escaped death after missing a helicopter flight that later crashed, resulting in the tragic death of Hon. Johanna Ng’eno.

In a heartfelt statement, Mosonik revealed that the incident on 28/02/2026 remains one of the most difficult moments of his life. He said that shortly after news of the accident emerged, his phone, which had initially gone quiet from shock, was suddenly flooded with hundreds of calls and messages from concerned family members, friends, colleagues, and members of the public.

“At first my phone almost went silent from shock, only to suddenly be overwhelmed with hundreds of calls and messages. Up to this moment, I have not managed to return all of them,” he stated.

Mosonik expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support he received, noting that the concern shown by many people demonstrated genuine love and humanity. He said the messages, calls, and prayers meant more to him than words could fully describe, especially during such a painful and uncertain time.

He extended special appreciation to leaders who reached out and offered support during the incident, acknowledging their kindness and solidarity. He thanked:
