APSEA, Kenya School of Government Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Regional Professional Excellence

The Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA) has taken a significant step toward strengthening regional collaboration after its Commissioner, Leonid Ashindu, led a high-level delegation on a courtesy visit to the Kenya School of Government (KSG).

The delegation was received by KSG Director General, Prof. Nura Mohamed, in a meeting that underscored the growing importance of institutional partnerships in advancing professional standards and leadership across East Africa.

The engagement provided a platform for APSEA to formally introduce its network, which brings together professional bodies across the region. Discussions focused on identifying key areas of collaboration, including professional training, policy research, and the development of executive education programmes designed to address evolving regional demands.

Both institutions also explored opportunities for knowledge sharing through joint publications such as the APSEA Magazine and a quarterly newsletter. These initiatives are expected to foster the exchange of insights, promote research, and highlight best practices among professionals.

Regional integration also featured prominently in the discussions, with both parties expressing a shared commitment to enhancing cooperation within the East African Community framework through capacity building and strategic partnerships.

Members of the APSEA delegation included Mr. Peter Kagia, Ms. Anne Gumbi, and Ms. Rodney Lulu.

The visit signals a promising new chapter in collaboration between APSEA and the Kenya School of Government, with both institutions optimistic that the partnership will drive professional excellence and contribute to sustainable regional development.
