PS Roseline Njogu Holds Consultative Meeting with Red Rope Movement on Anti-Trafficking Efforts

 




The Principal Secretary, State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Ms. Roseline Njogu, CBS, held a collaborative meeting with Ms. Chrysolyte Sanamanda, Founder of the Red Rope Movement, to discuss strengthened partnerships in addressing human trafficking and supporting Kenyan victims abroad.


The discussions acknowledged Red Rope Movement’s impactful work in providing shelter, legal aid, and reintegration support to victims of trafficking in India, particularly vulnerable women and girls.


PS Njogu reaffirmed the State Department’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Red Rope Movement and HAART (Awareness Against Human Trafficking). The partnership will focus on addressing the root causes of trafficking, aligning legal and policy frameworks, and safeguarding the dignity, rights, and well-being of Kenyans living and working overseas.


Also present at the meeting were Ms. Miriam Mangoka (HAART), Ms. Emma Gicheha, Director in charge of the Welfare and Rights Division, and Ms. Anne Kimani, Foreign Service Officer (FSO)
