KNQA Advances Skills Certification Through RPL Under NYOTA Programme
Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) Chief Executive Officer Dr Alice Kande has underscored the importance of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative under the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) programme.
Dr Kande noted that RPL is a critical intervention designed to identify, assess and formally certify skills acquired outside the formal education system, enabling beneficiaries to access employment, entrepreneurship and further learning opportunities.
She encouraged eligible youth and skilled individuals to participate in the ongoing RPL awareness and screening exercises, adding that the programme provides a pathway for recognising practical competencies and improving labour market outcomes.
Details on the scheduled RPL awareness and screening venues and dates have been released to guide interested participants.
