Kiambu Woman Representative Hon. Ann Wamuratha Champions Education and Community Empowerment

In a demonstration of people-centered leadership, Hon. Ann Wamuratha, Kiambu Woman Representative, today delivered over KSh 9 million in bursaries and scholarships to students across the county, reaffirming that education is a right, not a favor.

The initiative went beyond school fees, directly empowering families and small businesses. Beneficiaries received business umbrellas, dryers, UV machines, start-up capital for a needy mother, as well as bar soaps for students and sanitary pads for schoolgirls, ensuring dignity, opportunity, and economic upliftment.

"Leadership must work for the people. This is development that touches lives, empowers women and youth, and invests in the future of our communities," said Hon. Wamuratha.

The bursary and empowerment drive forms part of Hon. Wamuratha’s ongoing commitment to education, women’s economic empowerment, and youth development, highlighting a leadership model rooted in service, results, and measurable impact.
