Kapkeno Jazz Launches 47-Hour Anti-Drug Abuse Tree Challenge in Eldoret
Kapkeno Jazz has officially kicked off a 47-hour “stay up the tree” challenge at Nandi Gardens in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, in a bold campaign aimed at creating awareness against drug and substance abuse.
The campaign, which began earlier today, has drawn the attention of residents, youth groups, and passersby, with Kapkeno Jazz vowing to remain up the tree for 47 hours as a symbolic stand against the growing menace of drug abuse in the region.
Speaking at the launch, Kapkeno Jazz said the initiative is meant to spark conversations, especially among young people, on the dangers of drug and substance abuse and to encourage those affected to seek help.
Organizers say the challenge is also intended to engage the community, local leaders, and anti-drug agencies in supporting preventive efforts and rehabilitation programs. Members of the public have been urged to visit the venue and take part in the awareness activities being held alongside the challenge.
The 47-hour campaign is expected to conclude at Nandi Gardens, where Kapkeno Jazz will deliver a closing message reinforcing the call for a drug-free society.
