Kabete MP Backs Skills Training as Short Courses Begin
Kabete Member of Parliament Githua Wamacukuru has reaffirmed his commitment to skills development as induction for short courses kicked off at the Kabete NG-CDF Plaza Hall.
The programme has attracted enrolment from students pursuing various market-driven courses, including catering, plumbing, electrical installation, tailoring and cosmetology. The initiative is aimed at equipping youth and residents with practical skills to enhance employability and self-reliance.
Mr Wamacukuru said the training forms part of broader efforts to empower communities through vocational education and ensure that development initiatives translate into tangible livelihoods.
The programme has been widely welcomed by residents, with many viewing it as a practical intervention that responds to the growing demand for technical skills in the job market.
The MP reiterated that investing in skills training remains central to transforming Kabete and delivering on development promises.
