Crackdown on Criminal Gangs: Notorious ‘Kapenguria Six’ Arrested in Endebess
Law enforcement officers in Endebess Sub-County have arrested six suspected members of a notorious criminal gang believed to have been terrorizing residents in several parts of the region.
In a joint operation, police dismantled the gang popularly known as the “Kapenguria Six,” whose members have allegedly been involved in a series of criminal activities across Kaisheber, Nabeki, Cherubai, and neighboring areas. The suspects were identified as Juma Wanjala, Samson Kapolon Ewoi, Thomas Esakon Lorongoi, Linus Wekesa Wasilwa, Moses Kisuya Wekesa, and Ezra Simiyu Nyongesa.
According to police reports, the gang had been wreaking havoc on innocent citizens, instilling fear through violent attacks and intimidation. During the arrest operation, officers recovered several items believed to have been used in criminal activities, including a military jungle belt, a beret, and three pangas. Authorities say the recovered weapons point to the group’s preparedness to engage in violence.
The suspects are currently being held in police custody, where they are undergoing processing as investigations continue. Police confirmed that the six will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
Security agencies have reiterated their commitment to restoring peace in Endebess Sub-County and urged members of the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement by providing information that may help curb criminal activities in the area.
