Remains of Hon. Cyrus Jirongo Received in Kitale
The remains of the late Hon. Cyrus Jirongo were on Tuesday received at the Kitale Airstrip in Trans Nzoia County, ahead of a night vigil at his Kitale home.
Family members, relatives, political leaders, and residents gathered at the airstrip to pay their last respects as the body arrived under a solemn atmosphere. The cortege later departed for his home, where friends and mourners are keeping vigil as burial preparations continue.
Hon. Jirongo, a seasoned politician and businessman, was widely known for his influence in national politics and his role in shaping Kenya’s multiparty landscape. He also made significant contributions to business and community development, particularly in the Rift Valley region.
