Murkomen Lauds AIC Riwo on New Sanctuary, Calls It a Beacon of Faith and Community

 Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has commended the leadership and congregation of AIC Riwo Church in Kamendi for the successful completion of their newly constructed sanctuary, describing it as a milestone for faith, unity, and community development.

Speaking after attending a Sunday service at the church, CS Murkomen expressed joy at witnessing the growth of the congregation and the dedication that led to the completion of the new place of worship. Quoting Matthew 18:20 — “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them” — the Cabinet Secretary said the new sanctuary stands as a testimony of God’s presence and faithfulness among the people of Riwo.

“I was delighted to see the newly constructed sanctuary of the Lord. Our community now not only has a place of worship, but also a strong foundation for future generations to grow in faith,” Murkomen said.

He praised the church leadership and members for their determination, unity, and unwavering commitment throughout the construction process, noting that their efforts reflect both spiritual maturity and community responsibility.

“Your hard work and faithfulness have truly paid off. It is clear that God has been with us every step of the way,” he added.

Murkomen congratulated the AIC Riwo family on what he termed an “incredible achievement,” emphasizing the role of faith-based institutions in nurturing values, social cohesion, and moral leadership within society.

“As we celebrate this new home for worship and community, I look forward to seeing how God continues to bless and guide us,” he said.

The new sanctuary is expected to serve not only as a center for spiritual growth, but also as a hub for community engagement and support in Kamendi and the wider Trans Nzoia County.
