Kimilili Residents Laud Masinde Nguti for Grassroots Empowerment, Pledge Support in 2027

Residents of Kimilili Constituency have praised parliamentary aspirant Masinde Nguti for rolling out a series of grassroots empowerment initiatives, including the distribution of free solar lighting systems and the implementation of community-based development projects across the constituency.

Speaking during various community engagements held in different wards, residents said Nguti’s initiatives have helped improve living standards, especially in off-grid rural areas where access to electricity remains a challenge. Beneficiaries noted that the solar systems have enhanced household security, enabled children to study at night, and reduced reliance on costly and unsafe energy sources.

Beyond solar electrification, Nguti has been credited with supporting other development projects aimed at uplifting vulnerable groups, including youth, women, and small-scale traders. Community members said the initiatives demonstrate a people-centered leadership approach focused on addressing practical challenges faced by ordinary residents.

“Nguti has shown that leadership is about service, not promises. These projects have touched many lives, and we feel his impact even before he is elected,” said one resident during a public forum.

Local leaders and opinion shapers echoed the sentiments, describing Nguti as a development-oriented leader with a clear vision for Kimilili. They said his consistent engagement with residents and investment in community empowerment set him apart from other aspirants.

In response, Nguti thanked residents for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive development. He said his focus remains on improving access to clean energy, supporting livelihoods, and strengthening social services across the constituency.

“As we prepare for 2027, my priority is to continue working with the people to bring sustainable development to every corner of Kimilili,” Nguti said.

Residents vowed to rally behind Nguti’s bid in the 2027 General Election, citing his tangible development record and grassroots connection as key reasons for their support.
