Marakwet West Member of Parliament Timothy Kipchumba Toroitich has appealed to residents to support his re-election bid, citing his development track record and strong working relationship with President William Samoei Ruto as key factors that have enabled him to deliver projects across the constituency.
Speaking during a series of public engagements, the legislator said his focus remains on transforming the lives of residents through investments in education, infrastructure, water projects, and other development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.
Toroitich urged voters to evaluate leaders based on their performance and tangible achievements, arguing that his record in office speaks for itself.
"I have worked tirelessly to ensure that development reaches every part of Marakwet West. The progress we have made together is visible, and I am asking residents to support me once again so that we can continue this journey," he said.
The MP also highlighted his close working relationship with President William Ruto, saying the partnership has enabled him to lobby for national government projects and resources that have benefited the constituency.
According to Toroitich, maintaining strong links with the national government is essential in accelerating development and ensuring that residents receive the services they deserve.
He noted that several ongoing and completed projects in the constituency were made possible through collaboration with government agencies and support from the national administration.
The lawmaker further pledged to continue championing the interests of Marakwet West residents if re-elected, promising more investments in youth empowerment, education, healthcare, roads, and economic development programmes.
As political activity begins to intensify ahead of the next General Election, Toroitich expressed confidence that voters would reward leaders who have delivered on their promises and remained accessible to the people.
His remarks come as leaders across the North Rift region continue to consolidate support and position themselves for upcoming political contests, with development and service delivery emerging as key campaign themes.
Residents are expected to closely scrutinize the performance of elected leaders as the race for various seats gradually gathers momentum.
