Embakasi East MP Babu Owino Gives Health Update, Thanks Kenyans for Support

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has reassured Kenyans that he is recovering well following a recent illness and medical procedure, expressing gratitude for the prayers and messages of goodwill he has received from across the country.

In a statement released during the Christmas season, the legislator said the overwhelming support from Kenyans had been a great source of strength to him and his family. He noted that, by God’s grace, he is on the path to recovery and remains hopeful of resuming his public duties in the new year.

“In the spirit of openness and honesty that should guide all who serve the public, I wish to share that I recently underwent a medical procedure following an illness,” Owino said, adding that he was deeply thankful for every expression of solidarity.

The MP also used the opportunity to extend his prayers to Kenyans spending the festive season in hospitals, away from their loved ones. He called for compassion and unity, emphasizing that no Kenyan should feel alone in times of suffering or be driven to despair due to illness or poverty.

“As I heal, my heart is especially with all Kenyans who have spent this Christmas season in hospital beds,” he said, praying for healing, renewed strength, and comfort for patients and their families.

Owino underscored the importance of national solidarity, faith, and shared humanity, urging Kenyans to continue standing together. He concluded his message with a biblical reassurance from Jeremiah 30:17, affirming hope and restoration: “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the Lord.”

The MP’s statement has been widely shared, drawing messages of encouragement from supporters and fellow leaders wishing him a speedy recovery.
