Nairobi South B Member of County Assembly (MCA) Waithera Chege has announced the commencement of registration for new applicants seeking to join the government’s Boma Yangu affordable housing programme.
In a statement released Wednesday, Ms. Chege urged eligible South B residents to visit her ward office to complete the registration process, noting that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to widen access to decent and affordable housing within the constituency.
Applicants are required to present the following documents during registration:
- National Identification Card (ID)
- Tax Compliance Certificate
- KRA PIN Certificate
- Six-month M-Pesa statement
The MCA further clarified that residents who have already applied should await official confirmation messages, adding that applications for one-bedroom and two-bedroom units submitted earlier remain valid and do not require resubmission.
Ms. Chege reiterated her commitment to ensuring that residents benefit from government opportunities, saying her office remains focused on improving livelihoods across South B. She noted that the Boma Yangu registration drive is part of her broader agenda to empower households and support community development.
“South B residents deserve fair access to national programmes. My office is committed to walking with them, ensuring they are not left behind,” she said.
Hon. Waithera Chege continues to be recognized for her hands-on leadership and dedication to improving living standards, with a focus on initiatives that deliver tangible impact for the community.
